Homemade Toaster Pastries

Posted in : Snacks

(added few years ago!)

The next time you make a pie and have extra crust dough, roll it out and cut it into rectangles about the size of store-bought toaster pastries. Spread half of the squares with your favorite jam. Poke holes in the other half and place them on top of the "jammy" ones. Use a fork to smash the edges together, place them on a baking sheet, and bake until done... about 15 minutes at 400°F. Cool and eat right away or freeze and warm in the toaster, microwave or on a dry griddle
