With January 6th being celebrated as the "National Bean Day", here is a delicious "Bean Soup" recipe that can prepared at home and relished in the memory of the famous botanist Gregor Johann Mendel.
The famous botanist spent about 7 long years to study the laws of hereditary in beans (green peas). The best way to celebrate this day is by studying beans and cooking more bean recipes that are known for their high nutritional value. Take a look at how to prepare the tasty bean soup recipe.
Ingredients:
1.4 cups tomato (puree)
2.1 tomato (chopped)
3.1 onion (finely chopped)
4.1 capsicum (chopped)
5.3 spring onions (chopped)
6.250 g beans (baked)
7.3 tsp white sauce (sauce of flour, butter, milk, and seasonings )
8.2 1/2 tsp sugar
9.1 tsp chilli sauce (optional)
10.2 tsp oil
11.salt to taste
12.Fresh Cream / grated cheese (for garnish)
Method:
1.Add tomato puree into a vessel and cook with a cup of water. Sieve the cooked tomato puree to get soup.
2.Add a teaspoon of oil into a vessel and fry onion, capsicum and spring onions for a minute.
3.Add the tomato soup into the vessel and boil for 15 minutes.
4.Add the chopped tomato, baked beans and cook for a while.
5.Stir in white sauce, chilli sauce, pinch of sugar and salt and cook for some more time.
6.Garnish the hot soup while serving with fresh cream or grated cheese. Tasty bean soup ready to serve.
