Dr Pepper Snapple Group takes minority stake in hydrive energy, LLC based on distribution agreement

HYDRIVE Energy, LLC, maker of HYDRIVE energy drinks, announced today that it has entered into an agreement with the Dr Pepper Snapple Group (NYSE:DPS) that provides DPS with an equity position in the company in exchange for meeting various distribution targets.   

Dr Pepper Snapple currently is distributing HYDRIVE, a low calorie, enhanced water energy drink, in a number of its Midwest and East Coast markets including: New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Indiana, Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, and Iowa. Under terms of the agreement, DPS has been granted a minority stake in HYDRIVE and will have the opportunity to expand its position by launching in additional U.S. markets.

3 ounces Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix

Salt
Lime wedge

DIRECTIONS
Rub the rim of a chilled margarita glass with the lime and dip it into the salt to coat it.
In a cocktail shaker, combine Jose Cuervo Especial, Jose Cuervo Lime Margarita Mix and ice.
Shake vigorously and strain drink into the garnished glass filled with ice.

4 fluid ounces fresh lemon juice
2 fluid ounces vodka
1 teaspoon white sugar
crushed ice
1 lemon, sliced
4 sprigs fresh mint

DIRECTIONS
In a mixing glass, combine lemon juice, vodka and sugar. Stir until dissolved, then pour into glasses filled with ice. Garnish with a lemon slice and sprig of mint.

3 whole cloves
1 cinnamon stick
1 slice lemon
1 pinch ground nutmeg

DIRECTIONS
Pour the honey, boiling water, and whiskey into a mug. Spice it with the cloves and cinnamon, and put in the slice of lemon. Let the mixture stand for 5 minutes so the flavors can mingle, then sprinkle with a pinch of nutmeg before serving.

Javo Beverage Company Wins Premier, Inc. Contract

a leading provider of premium dispensable coffee and tea-based beverages to the food service industry, today announced that Premier, Inc., the largest healthcare group purchasing organization in the US, will award Javo a multi-year contract for dispensed coffees effective January 1, 2008.

According to the terms of the agreement, Premier will offer Javo specialty hot and iced coffees to its network of 1,700 participating not-for-profit hospitals and more than 49,000 other health systems facilities nationwide. Premier members will purchase the coffee house-style beverage concentrates designed to dispense from Javo's concentrated drink dispensers from more than 50 US Foodservice distribution centers across the country. Javo records hot coffee or iced coffee revenue of between $3,000 and $6,000 per year for each Javo dispensing machine installed at a customer's foodservice facility.

Premier is the nation's most extensive Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) and the largest by volume ($27B+). Premier contracts cover everything a hospital or other medical facilityrequires, from surgical tools and video equipment to frozen entrees and housekeeping products. Very few suppliers in a given category are approved at each contract cycle - usually three years in length - to sell to member healthcare sites.

1 (6-ounce) can frozen lemonade concentrate, thawed 1 (6-ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate, thawed 1 (20-ounce) can pineapple chunks, undrained 2 cups water 1 (2 liter) bottle cherry soda, chilled 1 (2 liter) bottle ginger ale, chilled Lemon and lime slices (optional) In a blender, combine concentrates and pineapple; cover and blend until smooth. Pour into a gallon-size container; stir in water. Store in the refrigerator. To serve, pour the mixture into a punch bowl; add cherry soda and ginger ale. Garnish with lemon and lime slices, if desired. Makes about 6 quarts.

Fresh Fruit Frappe

1 cup watermelon, chopped
1 cup cantaloupe, chopped
1 cup pineapple chunks, crushed
1 cup mango, chopped
1 cup strawberries, cleaned and hulled
1 cup orange juice
2 cups ice, crushed
In a blender, combine chopped watermelon, chopped cantaloupe, crushed pineapple chunks, chopped mango, and hulled strawberries. Add orange juice and crushed ice. Cover and blend on high speed until smooth.

Makes 6 servings.
